A bumpy ride can rattle your trailer and shift your load. This curved equalizer gives the suspension room to move so the trailer stays steady. At 7-3/4" long from center to center, it connects 1-3/4" wide double-eye springs and transfers the impact from one axle to another. The 9/16" center bolt hole lets the equalizer pivot just right, keeping weight balanced across both axles for a smoother, more controlled ride.
When both axles share the work, your suspension holds up better and tires wear evenly. This equalizer fits tandem- and triple-axle setups, letting the springs move naturally through bumps and dips. It distributes load changes evenly, which helps prevent hard jolts and keeps your trailer tracking straight.
Loose or misaligned parts can wear fast. This equalizer uses 9/16" spring eyes and includes bushings to match standard suspension hardware. The spacing between left and right bolt holes is 7-3/4" center-to-center, with 3-7/8" between the hanger bolt hole and side bolt holes. That precise geometry keeps shackles and bolts aligned for consistent, reliable movement.
Replacing worn or damaged equalizers doesn’t have to be complicated. With its exact sizing and standard bolt holes, this part lines up easily with existing hangers and shackle straps (sold separately). These equalizers were needed to allow me to install new slightly shorter and heavier duty springs under my pontoon boat trailer. They are doing what they are intended to do in fine fashion.
Perfect match! Bought my trailer from a scrap yard and decided to replace the whole suspension. Didn't know much about Tandem Axle trailers but the folks at etrailer were super helpful and the product descriptions are so in-depth that I was confident I was making the right purchase. I'm disappointed they are made in China but I won't knock anyone at etrailer for this as I didn't see any US made equalizers for a remotely competitive price nor did any other sellers offer the level of quality customer service at etrailer. Plus, I know that etrailer doesn't sell junk so even if it was made overseas I am confident it is still a quality product.
I'll be back again and so will everyone I know!
Working on a 18' utility trailer that has been used and abused. Went to replace the bushings and shackles and when I pulled the equalizer down found the center hole so egged out I am surprised it did not break. Went on line to etrailer and had the replacements in 2 days. They already come with the new bushings so quick and easy to install and get the trailer back in service safe and sound.
Product was exactly what I expected when I ordered. My old equalizers were only 5 and 3/4" wide and much shorter. These longer and taller equalizers will allow the springs to work in unison better due to the original placement of the front and back spring hangers. Quality seems to be very good.
After suffering a major incident on the highway where 3 of the 4 tires were destroyed along with the rims and some suspension parts, I needed parts fast and correct for my trailer. These wheels, along with the other suspension parts, where inexpensive, well built, accurately described, delivered quickly, and exactly what I needed to get my trailer back up and in operating condition again.
I replaced my leaf springs, shackle straps ,equalizers and wet bolts on my 2000 30' Alpenlite 5th wheel .I was very happy with your products .Everything arrived on time and in good shape .The installation took 5 hrs. with most of the time spent on removal and set up (getting the trailer 12.5 K in the air with all 4 off the ground )New parts went on in about 15 min. per side. Now I can lube the bolts & I have the clearance between the axel & frame that I was concerned about . Thanks for your help in ordering the parts. James P
Not happy! Quality is very poor! Comes with nylon bushings! No grease zert! Not what I thought I was ordering! Looks like it was drilled and oversize bushings put in it to reduce down so nylon bushings would fit! I will not order any other products from etrailer!!!

If my original shackles weren’t busted I would have returned this rebuild kit
As for the curved equalizer 1 star as well
Much thinner castings that my “stock” original parts
And the bushing holes are machined crooked and off center
E-trailer doesn’t want comments on their shipping but my orders in the last couple years has been extremely unreliable
I will probably never use this company again
High quality appears to be stronger than the original from the factory.
I was VERY pleased with everything. Unbelievably quick shipping . Everything went together as it should. I have already referred etrailer to others and I will most certainly purchase from them again

After a year still preforming well
Direct fit and replacement. I replaced the fiber bushings with the brass ones that came with the suspension upgrade kit that I ordered with the 2 equalizers.

Still quiet and holding up well.
I worked with Laura on replacement shackles, equalizer and bolts with grease fittings. Unfortunately there wasn't a kit that had the combination of equalizer length and shackle length but Laura was very helpful in working through the options.
The products arrived on time, as promised and after the normal cussing and fussing to get the old stuff off, they fit well. The second side went much faster than the first side, go figure. . .
I was pleased with the combination of price and service. I would probably be willing to pay more for US made products but that's the only reason I didn't give the highest rating. Service was great and I recommend calling if you aren't absolutely sure you know what you need.

The shackles and equalizers are still there and working well. One grease fitting came out of a bolt yesterday which was a bit annoying as they are just pressed in, not a threaded fitting. I may tap the bolt for a screw in fitting as the press in came out in my grease gun after greasing. Everything else has worked well.
Ordered curved equalizer, shackles, bushings, bolts with grease zerk, to fix my son-inlaws trailer and this was my first time to order from here. The order was simple and the service and updates were very prompt with my order shipping the same day and received it in 2 days.Parts looked great and fit great so I couldn't be more pleased with my order from start to finish.If someone needs trailer parts this is the place to go.Thank you etrailer for making my job easy.

This product looks identical to the one that came off of my 1992 trailer. The original piece is stamped Brazil, the new one is stamped China. Time will tell how it holds up, but install was no issue.
These were a direct replacement for my 25 year old dump trailer. I removed the plastic bushings and used brass.

Looks as good or better than what I had. We will see how they hold up. I paired them with a new heavy duty set of shackles . Don't think I'll have a problem for a long time now!
The bolt holes are not bored center of the lobes and are not 90 degrees to the stock. The egg shaped equalizers I am replacing have more material remaining on the thin side than the new ones I just received from etrailer. NOT HAPPY Must Resolve This Issue ASAP

I knew my shackles where worn but like most people, I put off changing them until one broke. I did buy the HD Dexter shackle kit about 6-12 months before installing it. I bought the wrong shackle kit with too small equalizers. I ordered this to get the job finished up. I only gave them a 4 star rating because they were definitely not as heavy as the Dexter units--Dexter had grease fits and bronze bushings. This unit had no grease fittings and what looked like plastic bushings.
With that said, These units worked just fine.
Hauled 5k lbs with them so far.
We will see what the test of time says.
This was a perfect replacement to the OEM equalizers on my trailer. The only negative is that it comes with nylon bushings. The original nylon bushings on my trailer were completely shot after about 20,000 miles, so I would not replace nylon with nylon. It would be great if these replacement equalizers came with bronze bushings, but since they don't, spend the extra money and replace the nylon bushings with bronze.

The photos in the product description show nylon bushings. The equalizer wouldnt typically have a grease zerk, youd want to use a wet bolt like # 126B2.
