Replacement Inner Member for a UFP 34044 Disc Brake Actuator
Updated 09/29/2025 | Published 09/13/2025 >
Question:
Hello I am looking to replace the brake actuator on my boat trailer with surge brakes. My question is, it has a UPF 34044 actuator currently on it however that states it is for systems with brakes on both axles, and a 34043 is the correct one since I only have brakes on one axle. Are these actuators the same dimensions and interchangeable? I bought this boat used so I dont know if possibly someone replaced it with the wrong actuator or,,,,

Hey Bill!
The Replacement Inner Member for Dexter DX7.5L Actuator # DX99FR will work just fine for your setup, especially since you've already been using the 34044 anyways.
Are you just needing the replacement inner member? Or are you needing to replace the whole thing?

Hey Bill, Did you decide to go with the replacement inner member for your boat trailer, or did you end up needing to replace the whole actuator? I'm asking because your experience could help others in a similar situation.
