Hello I’m looking for a flat tow kit with a brake control for air brakes. 2016 jeep wrangler unlimited. If you could give me a mid grade and a mid upper system that would be much appreciated Thank you for your time

Hey Mark. Since your motorhome has air breaks, the best option is to install the Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes item # SM99243. This is a proportional system that slows or stops your Jeep with the same amount of force your motorhome is braking with. This is a one time install that puts the main unit underneath the hood of your Jeep and the actuating cylinder installs above your brake pedal out of the way.

As an alternative you could use the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # BLU37TR, which is also a proportional braking system. It does not permanently install and can be completely removed when you're not flat towing your Jeep.

Here are the rest of the parts you'll need to flat tow a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited:

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates item # e47ZR

Base Plate Kit - Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BX1126 - for the standard factory bumper with no winches or guards or the Blue Ox item # BX1134 - for the 75th Anniversary Edition, ARB Stubby Bar, or Rubicon Hard Rock Edition

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I do have the 75th anniversary edition with a stock bumper. I also forgot that I had the following tow bar that came with my motorhome. Its a Roadmaster Blackhawk tow bar 422. Could you tell me the correct baseplate needed. I will add the air force one and wiring harness to that baseplate order. Mark

@MarkM Thanks for the information! Since you already have a Roadmaster Blackhawk tow bar pn 422, you'll need the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit item # 1444-3. This is the one compatible with the 75th anniversary edition bumper.
