Question:

Can this unit replace the Dometec B59516 on my Micro Minnie BH2100? Is it a direct replacement or are other parts needed?

No, it can not David. The Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner item # ADV58SR has the new R32 coolant in it, which is not backwards compatible with any components made before 2025. Additionally, we found out at the end of last year that the Advents are not compatible with different manufacturer's systems anymore. The adapters may line up but the functions are different and mixing manufacturer's components voids all warranties.

To replace your Dometic DuoTherm B59516 Brisk Air II Air Conditioner, I recommend the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - item # ADV92SR in white or item # ADV62SR in black. These 15,000 btu systems have the new R32 coolant in them, which is great for longevity and protentional repairs down the road. They're not making parts for the older units like your Dometic anymore.

The Advent item # ADV92SR in white or item # ADV62SR in black come with an air distribution box that can be used in both ducted and ductless setups. They include a start capacitor that helps your trailer's electrical system when the AC compressor kicks on. They also include a thermostat. You will be able to use your existing wiring when installing these systems.

Does your current Dometic system have a thermostat?
