Best 15K BTU Replacement For Coleman Mach 48253C969

Updated 05/23/2025 | Published 02/24/2025

Question:

Hi, sorry to ask but I have a 2017 Class C RV with a 13,5 K Coleman mach Ac standard cheaper knob style system, non ducted model 48253C969. I’m looking to upgrade to a 15k same brand to keep it simple if possible for plug and play. I’ve been looking on your website to locate something that would work but I don’t see any Coleman Mach series. I don’t want to change out the inside due to cost if possible. Any suggestions I would appreciate it! Adding heat strips would be fine as well. Thank you. Oh forgot to add, the reason for the upgrade is because my AC has passed on to a better life lol.

Hey thanks for reaching out, Kris, and RIP to your Coleman AC unit. Gone too soon lol.

To help you thru the grieving process, I am happy to tell you that we do offer a 15K BTU AC unit that can replace your Coleman Mach 48253C969. What you can use for that is the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup # ACCOL150. This comes with the AC unit, and the conversion kit that makes it compatible with your Coleman AC system. This way you can swap out the rooftop portion only, and your vents and thermostat can stay in place and will work exactly the same, only with colder air. This unit also includes a start capacitor to lower the startup amperage.

Feel free to reply below and let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

@Andrew Sadly that part has been phased out and is no longer available. You can still install an Advent unit on your camper, but it would require replacing the AC, distribution box, controller, and thermostat. This is the only way to ensure everything works together correctly. For that you can use the following: - Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # ADV92SR
