140 thermostat faulty in new tank. Dometic would not send me new parts unless I hired a RV service technician to install it. Disappointed in Dometic. Tank continually goes over temperature and shuts down. Guess I am on my own!!

Yes, this is the case with new products. In the past a lot of the manufactures would send out the parts only to learn that the install was actually the issue and not the product, I am not saying that is the case for you but was the case for most. So that is why they require a tech, did they mention if they cover the tech if the product is faulty? Because I know that some of them do pay for it, if it ended up being the part and not the install.

Compared to my old hot water heater these are made very cheap. The inlet ports are side by side this means you have to reconfigure your lines by adding 90 degree fittings and adding pex. Not so great. This unit is only 12 volt where as my old one was 110 volt and 12 volt. They are smaller on the sides leaving a 2 inch gap on both sides into your rv which will leak. Long story short not my first choice but everyone said oh this is a direct replacement and will work just fine. Nope, I will make it work but what a POS. I do not recommend.

Thank You for your timely shipment! This Gas/12v Water Heater will serve the purpose for my replacement for my RV Trailer. I only thought that it was going to be a 6 week wait but you made it successful from a BACKORDER. Apparently I was needing a 6gal Tank for the location that I was needing to put it in at and the only kind that would come up with is particular model without Electric(110v). Also Apparently, your company didn't have the 110v 6gal Tank! That was the particular model that I was needing and that was what I had that went out on me! Kenwood was the brand of my old one you said that they discontinued the particular model! I can make it ADAPTABLE for the LP Gas hook up only now.

Exact replacement, even all mounting holes lined up. Installed in my Lance truck camper, test fired appeared to be working properly. You will need to reuse or buy new check vales to hook up water lines to tank, at least I did (reused old). Unit came UPS undamaged which was great. Fast shipping, and great price compared to local.

Great OEM replacement. Pretty easy to install. Just wish it came with butyl tape. You will probably need to adjust the air/fuel ratio after installation. Heats water well.

    Hey Jon, You could use the Double-Panel switch # AT91230. The only thing with this is that it is meant for the gas/electric combined models.
