Question:
Is the wall thermostat necessary if i have the wireless remote/controller?

Hey Chad. The thermostat is only required if you have a furnace. The remote included with the Ducted Air Distribution Box for Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioners item # LC64DX will not control a furnace nor will the buttons on the air box.
Please note that the Ducted Air Distribution Box for Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioners item # LC64DX is not backwards compatible and only works with Furrion Chill Cubes. If you're wanting to upgrade a ducted AC system you'll need item # FR39TD.
What kind of trailer do you have and what changes to your AC system are you wanting to make?

Jerred I just recently swapped out an old noisy inefficient unit for the chill cube and it is performing great. I realized the problem with the furnace needing the thermostat so I need to correct that before cold weather.
