I have a 2017 Chevy traverse and it has an existing 10 plug or slot plug. I’m trying to find a pigtail to hook a trailer wiring connector

Hello Charles, thanks for reaching out. We do have wiring options for the 2017 Chevy Traverse, but I am not familiar with this 10 plug or slot plug you mentioned.

Does your Traverse have the factory tow package? If so, there would be a factory connector tucked up under the bumper near the right rear wheel. If you do have the tow package, the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 118271 is what you will need. This will give you a 7-way trailer connector.

If you do not have the factory tow package, you will need the Curt T-Connector # C56181. This is a 4-flat plug. If you need to upgrade that to a 7-way, you can use the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7.

What kind of trailer are you going to be pulling? Does it have electric brakes?

Hey Charles, did you find out if your Traverse has the factory tow package and were you able to get the right wiring harness for your trailer? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others with a similar setup.
