Question:
I am hauling a 2025 coleman 23b with my 2023 Subaru Ascent What sway/weight distribution system would you recommend? I need a long shift to clear my rear tailgate when hooked up I would also need a local shop that would install it for me. I live near Gallatin, TN and Bowling Green, KY Thanks

Hey Chris, congrats on the new camper. I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution w/ 4-Point Sway Control item # EQ90-00-0601. This system works with trailer's that have a 200 lbs - 600 lbs tongue weight, which will more than cover your Ascent's capacity. The built in sway control will keep your trailer in line behind your Subaru when you make a sudden lane change, encounter a gust of wind, or get passed by a semi.
You'll also need the 18" Long Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank item # EQ90-02-4600, which extends out 14" from your hitch pin hole. This will give you plenty of clearance to open your rear hatch.
If you go to the product page of the Equal-i-zer item # EQ90-02-4600 and scroll down below the pics on the left side you'll see a box that says, Locate installers near me. Go ahead and click on it and it will take you to a page where you'll be able to enter your zip code. Once you do this you'll be connected to our network of reputable installers in your area.
What model is your 2023 Subaru Ascent and do you have the factory hitch or an aftermarket one?
