Question:

I need to purchase 4.80x12 tires for my 5x10 utility trailer. I carry heavy loads, 4x4 apple crates. Which is a stronger tire, radial or bias? I read bias tires have stronger sidewalls Thanks for your help, John

Hey John, the better tire construction for you will depend on what roads you plan to travel on basically. If it will be a lot of paved roads the radial wins hands down or if instead it's off road then the sidewall of a bias ply would be your best option.

The part # AM10062 is a bias ply and the part # TT48012C is a radial. What type of roads will you be on?

Hey John, did you decide on the bias or radial tires for your utility trailer? I'm curious to know how they worked out for you, as it could help others make the right choice for their trailers.
