Question:

Is your item...Brandmotion Wireless Transparent Trailer Camera System with Digital Rear View Mirror - Custom Fit Part Number: BM77SR...available without the 3rd brake light camera system? I only ask because I do not need that part of the system.

Hi Dean!

The Brandmotion Wireless Transparent Trailer Camera System with Digital Rear View Mirror - Custom Fit # BM77SR uses the 9.66" Digital Rear View Mirror - LCD Display - Full Screen - 2 Video Inputs # BM23YR, so I do have a potential option for you, but the # BM77SR is only available with the backup and 3rd brake light camera.

With that said, check out the Brandmotion FullVUE Heavy Duty Digital Rear View Mirror with HD Backup Camera - Universal # BM44FR. This is universal so you would need to find an interesting way to mount the camera and it technically does have another camera on the mirror facing forwards, but it may be a better option if you don't want/need the 3rd brake light camera.

Out of curiosity, why don't you want the 3rd brake light camera? Doesn't hurt to have it.

The third brake light is completely blocked by the flatbed camper which also blocks any view from the rear view mirror mounted in the cab. Having a camera where the 3rd light is would only show the front wall of the camper...not useful. I am trying to get a 'digital' rear view camera for use while driving to augment the back-up camera that is only activated with the vehicle in reverse.

@DeanK Well that makes a lot of sense! The universal # BM44FR I mentioned would be the best option. You could hardwire it to the running lights instead of the reverse lights so it would always be on. Having a flatbed camper would make mounting the camera a lot easier too!
