This setup is made for the kind of towing that pushes your equipment to the limit. Rated for 38,000 lbs gross towing weight and 9,500 lbs vertical load, it’s got the strength to handle heavy livestock trailers, equipment haulers, or big fifth-wheel conversions without flex or fuss. The forged and machined steel gooseneck ball locks in tight with a ball-bearing retention system that keeps everything solid under tension.
Hooking up doesn’t get easier than this. The 2-5/16" gooseneck ball installs with a simple quarter-turn latch system—just drop it in, twist, and it’s locked. Retention balls inside the shank hold it firmly in place so there’s no rattle or play. When you’re done towing, lift the integrated lever to unlock and pull it right out—no tools needed.
Once the trailer’s unhooked, remove the pop-in ball and safety chain loops to get your bed space back. The rubber cover shields the ball hole from dirt and corrosion while keeping things neat. Everything packs away into the heavy-duty plastic storage case so your gear stays organized and ready for the next haul.
Every piece of this kit is built to take abuse and keep going. The gooseneck ball is forged and machined from steel, then chrome plated for corrosion resistance. The cast steel anchors wear a carbide black powder coat finish for extra durability. It’s all been tested to U.S. VESC V-19 safety specs and backed by a limited lifetime warranty with one-year finish and parts coverage.

This is exactly what I needed and was shipped fast.
I have had this for a year now. Used it several times without any problems. The installation was so quick and simple my friend said there is no way that can tow a toy hauler. After the weekend he was a believer and so am I.

Super fast shipping. Arrived before date originally estimated. Hitch ball seems to be great quality and the safety chain hoops are also well built. Case is nice to keep it all together. Not happy with price but that’s not necessarily etrailer’s fault as I’ve heard these oem style balls are pricy. Should be hooking up trailer soon and will test it out!
This is the second one of these hitch kits I've had and I am very pleased. The only thing is be sure keep the ball lubricated a bit and remember to remove it as soon as possible to prevent it from seizing up in the receiver. This is a high quality item.
The service has alleys been shower when dealing with company, the phones are always answered quickly and the staff the staff is polite and knowledgeable. My only complaint this time around is that I ordered a B&W ball abs the ship date got pushed out because of lack of inventory. I understand this is out of their control but they quickly remedied the problem by immediately shipping a replacement brand. Overall I am satisfied and will continue using Etrailer for any trailer need aww may have.

Everything is working as it should, although the chrome plating on the ball is coming off. I tow daily with this setup and grease it weekly.

Well, in all honesty I had hoped that the tolerances would have been a little more accurate. Very loose fitting and is gonna rattle like crazy. Is there another brand that fits better?

I get that. Tighter tolerances would definitely keep it from rattling, but it would cause other issues. Like if any kind of corrosion or debris got on the post or the receiver side of the hitch, the ball would become a permanent fixture or wouldn't fit when you went to install it. With that said, all the gooseneck balls for factory hitches like this will be the same. Typically with weight on the ball, they don't really rattle much. If it gets intolerable, you could use a shim of some sort, but we don't have anything to do that with. What vehicle are you using this with?
Exactly what I was looking for with fast free shipping and a very competitive price.
The locking mechanism is mediocre. It feels very weak to me, however I have not used it yet. No bolt, or key of any type to lock it securely in place, just a simple latch.
THEY WORK GREAT AND VERY EASY TO INSTALL...JUST WHAT MY NEW Ram 2500 needed!
