Hi David!
The Curt hitch # C11435 says it will only fit a 2016 to 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata, but I can't honestly say why it stops there. There wasn't a generation change between 2022 and 2023 and the only difference I can see are a few added colors for the 2023 models. I couldn't see any differences in the rear bumper either.
I see you ordered the hitch and am curious to hear if it does fit your 2023, so please let me know!
I also see you ordered the TowSmart Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # TS52FR. One thing to note about these kind of hitch adapters, if you weren't already aware, is they do cut your tongue weight in half. Since the hitch has 200 pounds of tongue weight, using it will reduce that to 100 pounds. I couldn't find the tongue weight capacity for your MX-5, so you may want to contact a Mazda dealer to find that. It will likely be less than the hitch as they are typically rated higher than the vehicle they are designed for. You are always limited by the lowest rated component. Are you going to be using this for a bike rack?

Hey David, I'm curious if the Curt hitch fit your 2023 Miata as expected. Did you also find out the tongue weight capacity for your car? I'm asking because your experience could really help others in a similar situation.
