Question:
i am looking for a 4 pin flat plug, what im going to call a bypass plug, that will let me plug something in but then have an open end so i can plug something else into it. I'm trying to find an easier way to tap into the reverse lights but it looks like that's not wired into the 4 pin or any of the connections it seems.

In order to tap into your reverse lights, you would need to convert your 4 pin flat connectors to 5 pin flat connectors. The simplest way to do this on your vehicle is by using the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter # 20036, which is going to plug into your current vehicle's 4 pin. The blue wire would be spliced into the reverse light wire, which you can find using a circuit tester such as # PTW2993.
You would also need to add a 5-pin flat to your trailer with the Hopkins Endurance 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM47910. I have added links to a couple of installation videos for you to take a look at.
