Question:

I have a 2021 ram 3500, diesel, crew cab with aftermarket electric steps from amp. The steps only run the length of the cab. What Frame mount camper tie downs would work with that configuration? I am wanting both front and rear tie downs. The truck has a factory hitch.

Hi Matt!

We have what you are needing, but you didn't mention if you have the 8 foot or 6-1/2 foot bed on your 2021 Ram 3500 Crew Cab. With that said, I have both options listed below:

6.5 Foot Bed
TorkLift Tie Downs - Custom Frame Mount - Front and Rear # TL23NR

8 Foot Bed
TorkLift Tie Downs - Custom Frame Mount - Front and Rear # TL75FV

The cab length electric steps you have will not interfere with the install, so you are good to go. I looked up how the AMP Research PowerSteps install and it will not be the same place as the tie downs. Both of the aforementioned TorkLift kits include the front and rear tie downs as well.

Do you already have turnbuckles? The TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs - Stainless Steel - Black - Qty 4 # TLS9529-2-LK would be a great option if you do not.

@LazerS it's an 8 foot bed. I don't have tie downs yet. Since I'm a regular dude, with a regular paycheck I'll have to do the budget options for now, considering these brackets aren't exactly free! Still need $$ for the camper! Thanks for the reply

@Matt I hear that. If you don't already have them, I recommend going with the Brophy Slide In Camper Tie-Downs - Extra Clearance - No Drill Bed Mount - Qty 4 # HSAB for a budget option. They give you a bit more clearance than other options. But let me know if there is anything else I can help with!

@LazerS the TL75FV front brackets will not fit. The arm of the power steps is right in the way of the bracket and will not allow the bracket to sit flush on the frame.
