Question:

Hi, I have a 2018 Ford F350 6.7 Diesel 4x4 FX4 crew cab long bed. This truck is an XL trim with a standard front black panted bumper. 1 Will this hitch fit this truck as built from the factory without any modifications? 2 If I change the front bumper to an aftermarket unit mfg TBD, will the the aftermarket bumper likely fit if it uses factory standard mounting points? 3 If the aftermarket bumper is prepped for a winch, will the hitch align with the winch opening? My goal is to use the license plate cover as a blank plate when the hitch is not in use. Thank You,

In order to install a front mount trailer hitch on a 2018 Ford F-350 you will need to make some slight modifications which includes the EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7904. That said, there is no way around this and the modifications are very minor. For the EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, you must trim a plastic bumper insert (see photo) which can be replaced if you remove the hitch. This is what allows the EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver to have a hidden design. The other options such as the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C31078 require trimming of the lower lip on the front bumper fascia.

In regards to the use of aftermarket components, I would not be able to confirm compatibility nor would the manufacturer as there is just no way for us or them to test this since there are a number of different aftermarket bumpers.
