PSI Rating for Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel TA77RR

Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel - 16inch x 6inch - 8 on 6-1/2 - Black. What is the maximum tire pressure this rim can handle? Put 16 ply tires on my camper but the old rims are not rated for the required tire pressure. Need tire at 115 psi so rim of 125 psi is needed.

Thanks for your question, Drew!

The Vesper steel modular trailer wheel part # TA77RR doesn't have a PSI rating. I double checked with the manufacturer, Taskmaster, and they confirmed this information with me. Since this is a steel wheel it's going to have a higher rating than any tire you would be able to get mounted on it. I included the chart the manufacturer sent to me as well for you.

What brand of tires do you have? The highest rated trailer tire we have in a 16" is a load rage G which has a ply rating of 14, part # TTWPRG235R16. That tires max load is 4,400 lbs at 110 psi.

Hey Drew, did you end up finding a wheel that meets your tire's PSI requirement? I'm curious because it could help others who are in a similar situation with high-pressure tires.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
