Getting the right fit shouldn’t take guesswork. This wheel uses an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern to match common heavy-duty hubs, with a 4.9" pilot diameter and compatibility for 1/2"-20 and 9/16"-18 stud sizes. That setup keeps installation simple and ensures a secure connection once torqued down.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look together at this Dexstar Black Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel. Now this sturdy steel wheel with this eight spoke pattern in a glossy black powder coat finish is made here in the USA, and it does meet the Department of Transportation specifications. Now, this wheel has excellent corrosion resistance with the black powder coat finish over E-coat primer, and bringing this back around here, the dimensions of this rim, beginning with the diameter measuring bead seat to bead seat is 16 inches, and then the width, again, measuring bead seat to bead seat is six inches, and our bolt pattern is eight on six and a half inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, and the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which our bolt holes sit.
So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you're simply going to measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. Now the wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20, and or nine 16 of an inch by 18. This wheel has a capacity of 3,750 pounds. The center cap is sold separately, but if you decide to pick one up, you would just need to make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 4.9 inches. Well, that's gonna wrap up our brief look today.

The rim i ordered is out of center and the tire shop cant get it balanced. Its like the bolt pattern wasn't stamped correctly. I would call it a manufacturers defect.

This is the matching wheel I’m using as a spare mounted to the side of my trailer. The all black powder coated look is great, they function well. Etrsiler was amazing. Got it next day, with great communication.
Had them up to about 85 on the Interstate ( Strictly Passing at those Speeds ) with Speed Rating T Tires ( Stock Tires on the 4x8 ft Trailer was only rated for 45 so I did not want to chance it at those Speeds ) about 1,300 Miles Round Trip. No Problems.....
I was looking to match the wheels that I have. They are Dexter wheels made in 1989. Made in USA with a fully welded center. These wheels looked to be the same from the pictures and are made in USA. They are a exact match other than the color and the center is 40 thousands thinner than the Dexter wheel but I do not think that will make any difference. I would recommend these wheels to any one needing replacements. They are way better than the China wheels that have the centers stitch welded not fully welded. I had one of those break the center loose on my 5th wheel
