This steel modular trailer wheel is made to carry serious weight. With a 16" x 6" rim and an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern, it’s rated for up to 3,860 lbs. The 0 offset keeps the load evenly centered on the hub for balanced support. It meets SAE J1204 standards, so you can trust the wheel’s strength and consistency mile after mile.
The black acrylic enamel finish is tougher than typical powder coating. It goes over a zinc phosphate pre-treatment and e-coat primer for excellent corrosion resistance—tested to more than 1,000 hours in salt spray. That layered protection helps the wheel stay looking sharp and resist chipping from road debris or curb scrapes far longer than standard coatings.
Beveled stud holes are built into the rim to help keep the wheel snug on the hub. This design reduces the need for constant retightening of lug nuts and maintains a solid connection under load. It’s a simple detail that makes a big difference in long-term reliability when towing heavy gear or logging highway miles.
This wheel can handle up to 100 psi when paired with a proper metal valve stem like part # AM20906. That means it works with higher-pressure tires often used on heavy-duty trailers without pushing limits on air retention or safety margin. It arrives with a valve stem included, so setup is straightforward from day one.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Its still on the trailer and working fine. No problems, other than the trailer looking funny with a new wheel and 5 other 10-year old wheels!

Rims packaged very good! Shipped super quick, that's a plus. Pricing is in line. Why'd I knock off two stars? I ordered 5 rims, they are all the same size but I got 2 different brands, with different valve stems. Now this probably wouldn't bother some people...it probably wouldn't have bothered me if I were putting them on a work trailer. But my enclosed trailer is pretty sweet and I'm a bit OCD with it. I needed to get tires back on to get it moved so shipping back was not an option unfortunately.
Looks like a match for the other 5 wheels on our trailer. Haven't got it mounted yet, but don't expect any issues. The service from eTrailer was excellent! wheel arrived earlier than expected.
