Do the Furrion Vision Cameras Make Back Up Beeping or Alarm Sounds?

Updated 08/11/2025 | Published 08/09/2025

Question:

Hello Etrailer, I have a couple of basic questions. 1. Does this camera have any audible alarms and/or make any obnoxious beeping noises? 2. If it does have noises, can they be muted or at least be turned down? Thank you

Hey Mike. The Furrion Vision S+ Wireless RV Backup System item # FR57AD does not beep or have a backup alarm. The only sounds you'll hear is from the built in microphone. To mute the microphone you'll just need to turn the volume down all the way in the settings screen.

We also have the Furrion Vision S+ Wireless RV Observation System item # FR74AD, which includes two side marker camera's, a rear view camera, and an additional camera you can mount where ever you want.

What kind of motorhome or RV do you have?

Hello Jerred, I have an Alaskan Sportsman slide - in truck camper. Could I ask a couple of follow up questions about the Furrion Vision S+? 1. What is the purpose of the microphone? 2. Are the microphone sounds picked up from outside of the truck's cab then sent to the Furrion monitor for communication purposes? I am guessing that the outside camera contains the microphone and then transmits a signal to the truck cabin Furrion monitors speaker for communication purposes. Thank you for your help, Mike P.

@MichaelP You're welcome. The microphone built into the item # FR57AD backup camera is designed so someone guiding you into your spot can talk to you through the camera instead of having to yell loud enough so you can hear from the cab of your truck. It's probably helpful in emergency situations too, like if someone's back there screaming you're going to run over them.
