our 2006 kz jag 32 foot trailer came equipped with a wfco 8935 converter. can i install your 45 amp converter?

It looks like the WFCO 8935 is a 35 Amp converter, so you're not going to be able to install the Progressive Dynamics # PD9245C because it is rated for 45 amps. Adding a higher amp rating converter to your system could potentially cause overheating of the wiring on your 2006 KZ Jag camper, which could cause damage to the wiring system and/or fires.

If your current converter has gone bad, you can use the # PD4635V which is listed as a direct replacement option for your WFCO 8935.

Erik, I have a 3400RL fifth wheel, my converter went out.. it’s a 60amp converter, I just installed a 65 amp converter. I’m not getting anything on my circuits?!?

@DannyL The 60 amp wiring should be able to handle a 65 amp converter just fine. You might want to make sure your wire gauge is correct. I recommend at least 6 AWG for 1 to 10 feet of length from your battery bank to the Progressive Dynamics Smart Battery Charger and 4 AWG for up to 20 feet between the two. If you are getting zero power to the converter, this means you have some other wiring issue going on.
