Question:
I have a 2005 Cargo Craft Expedition trailer with tandem 3500lb e-z lube axles. When I enter/exit parking lots that are not level side to side, I get a grinding noise from the wheel area on the high side of the trailer until I tap the brakes a few times. I cant find anything wrong in the brake assemblies. I assume the magnet is hanging up against the drum, but inspection shows everything to be moving freely. The linings are just under 50 so I may go ahead and replace everything. The mfr isnt really helpful with anything over the phone other than bearing/seal numbers. The bearings and seal numbers are 68149/17190L/44649. Can you confirm my ions before I purchase the parts? Hub/drum 84546UC3-EZ, brakes 23-468/23-469, nuts, washers. Thanks.

Sounds like the trailer manufacturer is right and the noise is coming from the hubs or bearings. You are also correct in the determining the correct replacement hub drum part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K and the correct brake assemblies part # AKEBRK-35L-SA for the left hand side and the part # AKEBRK-35R-SA for the right hand side.
The correct nuts would be part # 6-17 and the correct lock washers would be part # 5-8.
