The lock washer is made to go on there, and also the other piece that we sell separately, it's made to go with is the mounting nut for the brake assembly for 7 and 10 inch brake assemblies. It's part number 6-17 and that's made to screw on to the . and all 3 of those pieces again are sold separately. That should do it for part number 5-8. 7/16" Diameter lock washer fits mounting bolts for 7" and 10" brake assemblies.

One of the brake assemblies came short two mounting bolts. Installing them tomorrow.

I bought for these brake assemblies. Installation was straight forward and after a year of use and about 3500 miles, they spray to be performing well. My only concern is one of the four occasionally sticks which heats up that wheel. Backing up a short distance seems to release it, but I'd like to feel more confident that it's working correctly.

I purchased electric brake parts for a tow dolly. The staff at etrailer guided me thru the selection process and offered a perfect solution. It is nice to have a company like etrailer and their staff of true professionals. Everything had been absolutely perfect one year after install and expect many more years of service from these components. Thanks etrailer.

Hydraulic trailer drum brakes. Received within a few days. Easy to install, not that complicated. Needed a second person to help bleed the brakes.

The 5-8 lock washers for the four bolt brake mounting flange are an excellent replacement on my 1997 Coleman Fleetwood Bayports popup camper that I am close to finishing a restoration process on. They fit perfectly! Very happy to purchase an excellent product from the fastest shipper I have ever come across. I am blown away by the professionalism with this company!

Trailer brakes, drums and bearings. Everything at a great price and perfect fit. Very happy

Converted non brake single axle trailer to electric brakes. Etrailer had all the parts needed, great price and fast ship. Put together in a couple hours and seems to work fine.

Hardware was correct and they worked fine for my brake assemblies.

Tom S.

Its holding well

What can I say, it is a lock washer. Bought it to go with the replacement brake/backing plate I purchased.

It's a lock washer. What more can be said?

Paul I.

Wow reaching out after an entire year is amazing. Products are allperforming to expectations.

merchandise was delivered much sooner than i expected. everything was in perfect condition. haven't installed the brakes yet, but i do not expect any problems. i am sure that i will be using and recommending to friends.

Top notch hardware for electric brake backing plate

Pretty hard to screw this up other than it should have came with the brake assembly.

What can you say about lock washers. They perforemed as they should and did not seperate under pressure.

I was very happy with the products that I purchase and pleased with Erika in customer servies. I will defentitly use etrailer agian for future purchases.

No problems with installation. Everything working perfectly fine. Good purchase.

The parts I needed were in stock no waiting, the price was extremely competitive, and the delivery was fast. Thank you for a great first impression, I will be a repeat customer!

Standard lock washers.

Everything works well. I will definitely order form etrailer again when I need stuff.

It's a nice lock washer. Fits as it sho uld.

Using old lock washers is just BAD. They loose their tension. Always replace with new.

Parts work great, service and tech support was excellent.

This is my second order from etrailer, and just as before the product was just as advertised, perfect fit and a great price, and delivered right on time, also videos were a great help. I highly recommend etrailer.

  • Where To Measure to Determine What Size Brake Assemblies are Needed
In order to determine what size brakes you need you will need to measure what you currently have on your trailer. Check out the picture I attached that shows you exactly where to measure. If you are instead looking for a way to add brakes to your trailer that currently does not have any check out the help article I attached that covers this.

  • What is Brake mounting Bolt # 7-75 Made Of
The brake mounting bolt # 7-75 is just made of steel. If you can find a galvanized or stainless bolt with the same threads (bolt size is 7/16-20 and length is 1-1/4 inches) you could use it. Check a local hardware store. Bring one of the old bolts with you so you are sure to get a good match. If you go with these steel bolts the matching nut is # 6-17 and the lockwasher is # 5-8.

  • Recommended Replacement Hydraulic Drum Brakes for Tandem Axle Trailer
Selecting correct hydraulic drum brake assemblies for your tandem axle trailer requires matching brakes to the axle capacity, the size of your hub/drums (please see linked photo) and to the type of brake flange on your spindles. The linked page will show you all hydraulic drum brakes we offer which are suited to axle capacities from 2500 to 15,000-lbs. Usually a 2500-lb axle will have 7 x 1-3/4-inch brakes but if your trailer has 10-inch hubs it could be that the axles are rated higher...

  • Parts Needed to Install Electric Brakes On 1995 Coleman Destiny Royale Trailer
To make sure that you get the correct parts, I would need to know the inner and outer bearing numbers stamped into the metal of the bearings. There are different 5 lug bolt patterns. The hardware needed for securing the brake flanges of the Titan Disk Brake Kit # T4843800 are not included as typically the axle has them already. With the P3 you would not need to use the adapter part # T4846000. It is designed to work with the EOH brakes without the need for an adapter.

  • Replacement Hydraulic Drum Brakes for a 1999 Seadoo Trailer
Check the mounting pattern of the brakes you have now. The Demco brakes, # 40715, mount on a 4 bolt mounting flange with the holes 4 inches apart on center side to side. The surface of the drum where the pads tough is likely to be 2-1/4 inches, especially if you have 13 to 15 inch wheels. In the 10 inch hydraulic brakes you are pretty much limited to 10 x 2-1/4 so its a safe bet that these are correct. The matching left hand side brake is # 40716.
