How Does The Pace Edwards UltraGroove 311-KMD7833 Perform With Snow And Ice?

Hi Jamie!

I have had a Pace Edwards Switchblade on my Silverado for 5 years now and it has seen some pretty serious ice and snow (just about a foot, once). It held all that without issue and once I cleaned it all off, it opened and closed just fine. The only reason it doesn't open as easily now is because I sorta kinda shoved a bookcase into it when it wasn't fully opened. Still works though, I just have to give it some help when opening it all the way.

With that being said, the Pace Edwards UltraGroove # 311-KMD7833 you are looking at for your 2025 Ram 2500 6-1/2 Foot Bed without RamBoxes is nicer than the Switchblade I got for my truck and can handle up to 300 pounds when evenly distributed. I think you will be very happy with it and it will hold up very well. Just try not to shove a bookcase into it. : P

Are you expecting to get a good amount of snow where you are?

Lazer S, We get a lot of snow but it's not so much the frozen snow its the melting/freezing snow that I worry about. I am now considering one of the hard roll ups. Not as cool but less to go wrong. A friend has a fold up but I didn't care for it. Whatever I get it needs to be ladder rack compatible. By the way is your last name Exmark? littlejokethere Thanks for the Help! Jamie

@JamieW Hard roll up covers are definitely nice, so "mow" power to you! I liked your joke : P This style of cover tends to work fine with ladder racks, just make sure they mount above the bed rails. If you look at the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack - 1,250 lbs # TH43003XT-501 and TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Cantilever - 1,250 lbs # TH43003XT-501EX, you can see what I mean. As an example, something like the BAK Revolver X4s Hard Tonneau Cover - Roll Up - Aluminum and Vinyl - Matte Black # BAK64ZR would have no problems fitting with them.
