Question:
Im looking at this hitch for a Yakima Ridgeback 2 or similar bike rack that folds completely for storage when not in use. I have 2 questions: 1 Theres conflicting information regarding the hitch class for the Ridgeback. Etrailer says that it cannot be used with a Class I, whereas Yakima states that it can, provided it has the appropriate measurement from the pin hole to the interior backstop at least 1 3/8. 2 What is that measurement on this hitch? Thanks!

Hey Ashlynn, this is a really great question but what I was able to find is that the Yakima RidgeBack 2 Bike Rack # Y02457 CAN be used with the Curt Class I hitch part # C11567 and here's why. Yakima states this normally should be used on Class II and up hitches but if the hitch doesn't have the weld splatter designed to prevent Class I accessories from being used it can be used with a Class I hitch. Well Curt does not put that in their Class I hitches so this rack will fit and work fine.
