Question:
I have a 2013 TDI hatchback Beetle, 6 speed manual. It DOES NOT take the add blue for that year. What hitch can I use? Thanks

Hey Lyse,
The hitch I recommend for your 2013 Beetle is the Curt # C11354. This is the only hitch option we have available for that vehicle, but the installation is simple and does not require drilling into the frame. It has a 150lb tongue weight capacity and a 1,500lb towing capacity.
What are you looking to use this hitch for?

Hi Nick Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, busy with work. If you remember a company in Ottawa recommended that same hitch, but when they looked under my car they said it couldn't be done. I emailed this response to you and you said you had fitted this hitch on. 2013 TDI Beetle before and ask why they said they couldn't do it. I think you also asked for pics of the underneath of my car. Anyway I think the guy said something about a bracket when he was looking under the car on the rear passenger side opposite the muffler. Anyway, my mechanic installs hitches. He would like the installation diagram for that hitch as he is doing work on my car and will have it up on a hoist. Could you email me the installation instructions/diagram and any helpful remarks. I will also take photos of the underneath of my car when it is up on the hoist next week. I really need to find a hitch. Wouldn't have bought the car if it can't take a hitch. BTW a VW service rep I have known for 20 years said it can take a hitch, just doesn't know which one. Also since I'm n Canada do you have a 1800 number I can call you at? Thanks lyse fournier

Hey Lyse, how did the installation of the Curt hitch go on your Beetle? I'm curious to know if it met your needs, as it could help others with similar vehicles.
