Hey Danielle. The Redarc Tow-Pro Link # RED57AR was designed with clean installs in mind. Tyler, one of our customers, mounted his on the dash of his Gladiator and paired it with the Redarc app in under 15 minutes. The module itself plugs in behind the 7 way outlet at the back of the truck, and the remote can be hidden out of sight or mounted anywhere you'd like in the cab and will still work flawlessly. You can control the gain and brake override / sway control through the mounted remote, but more features are available when using the app, such as checking to make sure the 7 way functions are all working properly.

Send us a photo of your dash if you need help picking the perfect mounting spot for the button.

I’m considering this for my 2023 Wrangler 4xe which shares a lot with the Gladiator. Does the Tow-Pro Link still work if you lose phone connection mid-trip? We’ll be heading into areas without much cell coverage and I want to make sure the brakes stay active even if Bluetooth drops.

@SarahP That’s a great point, Sarah, and yes , if your phone disconnects, the Tow-Pro Link will continue operating with your last used settings. The controller stores that info internally so trailer braking won’t suddenly stop if you lose signal or battery. You won’t be able to make adjustments from the app while disconnected, but the manual override button will still function normally. This setup has been especially popular with overlanders and folks going deep into remote areas; it's built to keep working even when your tech doesn't. Just make sure everything's paired and working before you hit the trail and you'll be good to go. Let us know what you're towing behind the 4xe!
