How hard is it to DIY install the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2024 Mercedes GLE450e? Do you have a video on it?

Expert Reply:
Hey Andy, thanks for reaching out. The EcoHitch # EH55SR is correct for the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 SUV. The installation is a bit more complicated than most other trailer hitches. There is no drilling required but you do have to completely remove the bumper to install the hitch. You also need to permanently remove the impact structure under the bumper. The hitch replaces the impact structure. There will also be some trimming of the bumper fascia required.
We do have an install video showing the hitch installed on a 2020 GLS, and I have provided a link for you. Give it a watch and see how you feel.
Have you installed a trailer hitch before? If you are familiar with hitch installs, it should take you around 2-3 hours to complete. It helps a lot if you have a jack and a few jack stands.
