Can I Use The SoftStartUp SSR64FR On My Residential Application?

Question:
i have a 50 amp generator for emergency house power,will this soft start work on my home a/c .my house unit is a 3 ton unit. i was going to put a soft start on my unit but this looks so much simpler. thank you.

Hey Frank,
Yes, even though it is labeled as an RV application the SoftStartUp # SSR64FR can be used with RV and household applications. You will be able to use this with your setup. With no complex wiring or installation, its a simple plug and play application, much simpler than other soft starts out there. I recommend double checking just to make sure your AC is not going to pull more power than the 50 amps it is rated for.
What kind of generator do you have in this setup?
