How to Find Replacement Leaf Springs for 2022 Keystone Cougar 29RKS

Question:

I need leaf springs for my 2022 Keystone Cougar 29 RKS. I believe i have Dexter 3500lb axels. Could you point me to the proper springs. I will be replacing the two rear springs. Thank you

Hey Gib! Thank you for providing your axle capacity. In addition to the capacity, I will also need your leaf spring length so that means measuring. I recommend measuring the flat length, which is outlined in the attached article as well as the picture below.

For example, the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles # e54SR measures 25-1/8" long spring eye to spring eye. The overall flat length would be 26-3/8". If this matches your leaf springs you can use them as a replacement. If you have a different measurement please add it in the comments below and I will see what is available.

I have better info. The axle is a dexter EZ lube 4400lb with a hub distance of 85" and spring center at 68.5". I need the axle assembly (brakes and drum) and the leaf springs. (I don't have a good measurement on the spring center to center but I guess they are around 25-26" Thanks Gib

@Gilbert 4,400 lb axles are largely obsolete and we don't carry them so I would reach out to Dexter if you want an axle replacement. I'm sure they can accommodate you so you won't have to upgrade to a 5,200 lb axle which would require new hubs and everything else. The only 4,400 lb leaf springs we have right now are the Dexter 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring - 25-1/4" Long # DX95CR.
