How Does Cable of Valterra Waste Valve Get Removed

Question:
Replacing the bracket the handle mounts to. How do I remove the T handle to get the cable out of the existing hole in the broken bracket.

Hey Timothy, here's the instructions for removing the cable assembly of a Valterra waste valve like the part # VAL54MB:
Remove the locknut from the cable housing assembly. Feed the cable through the mounting bracket or hold in the wall of chassis. Feed the locknut back over the cable and fasten securely to the backside of the bracket or wall. With the red tab in place, insert the cable housing into the collar entry hole and the wire into the coupler. Tighten allen set screw in the coupler and collar screws in the collar. Secure the cable every 18" to 24" using a zip tie or paperclip. Open the valve, remove the red tab, and close the valve completely.
