Roof Rack for 2009 Honda Pilot For iKamper 3.0 King Roof Top Tent

Question:

Hi, im in need of a roof rack rail supporting system for my 2009 Honda Pilot. I want to support the IKAMPER 3.0 KING roof top tent which alone weighs 165lbs. The current load capacity for the pilot is 165lbs so I want something that will secure the rtt safely for both static and dynamic loads. Thank you, jerry

Hi Jerry; do you have factory raised rails on your 2009 Honda Pilot? If so, you can use a roof rack like the Malone # MAL84AR. This has a capacity of 165 lbs so it will be able to handle the tent. Static capacity is never listed so I would check to see if iKamper has a minimum required roof rack capacity for the tent.

If you don't have any kind of rails to mount a roof rack the only option would be to add a tracks with a rack like the Rhino-Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack for Camper Shells # Y02-490B.
