I have a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I need a class 3 hitch, electric brake controller and wiring for lights. It does not have a tow package. Looking for your recommendations.

Hi Bob,
Let's start with the trailer hitch. If your JGC isn't a EcoDiesel or Trackhawk model, the Draw-Tite Class III hitch # 75699 would be an excellent choice. If it is one of those models, let me know.
Let's jump to the brake controller next, because it'll dictate how you wire the vehicle. The Tekonsha # TK94FR Prodigy RF controller would be a nice choice, with a pretty easy install. If you're only going to be towing one trailer, it'll work well. If you have multiple trailers I wouldn't recommend it because the install involves bolting it to the trailer tongue.
If you're going to go with the Prodigy RF, use the # 118727 wiring harness along with the # ETBC7L install kit. The kit includes the 4 pole to 7-way adapter and the wire and circuit breaker needed to connect the 7-way to the vehicle battery.
