Question:
Saw the Roadmaster base 118.8 states it fits 1997 Suzuki Sidekick 2DR. Does that mean it will not fit the 4 DR vehicle and if so why not? What fits the 4 DR vehicle? Thanks

Hey Don, thanks for reaching out!
The # 118-8 Roadmaster base plate kit only fits the 2-Door version of the 1997 Suzuki Sidekick. Since you have a 4-Door you need part # 1007-2 instead.
I'm not sure what the nuance is between the 2-Door and 4-Door fitments, but since there is a fit for your model we don't have to worry too much about it.
For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
