Question:
I have a 2019 Jeep grand Cherokee I don’t believe it has the tow package I installed a CURT 56426 wiring harness ti get 4 pin or 4wire flat. I now need a 7 round because I got a new trailer with brakes and a battery. I was curious if there’s options to convert it or if I can use a Bluetooth set up. Thank you

Hello Sean, thanks for reaching out. We have just the thing! If you plan to use a Bluetooth brake controller like the Curt Echo # C51180, what you will need is the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L. This has everything you need to upgrade your current 4-flat connector to a 7-way. Since you are doing the wireless controller all you will really need to do it run a wire from the 7-way up to the battery. There is no need to run a brake output wire to the cab, since the wireless controller only need 12v power, and brake light signal to work.
If you did want to use a standard in-cab controller, you will need the # ETBC7 kit instead as this includes the necessary brake wire.
