Question:

I drive a 2021 VW atlas V6 awd, and it says in the manual not to use weight distribution so I was wondering if this set up would be appropriate to haul a 2020 Eddie Bauer 17BH-L trailer?

Hey Kayla,

You can absolutely use the # C57DR with your vehicle. This is not considered a weight distribution hitch so it is going to be a great add on to reduce the sway on your Volkswagen.

It not only includes the friction sway bar, but also a shock absorbing ball mount for increased ride comfort. It has plenty of capacity for your trailer so you won't have any worries towing it with this setup.

Do you need the brake controller as well or are you just looking for something like the friction bar and ball mount?

THank you for your response, that helps and brings a peace of mind knowing I’m selecting an appropriate hitch. The breaks are electric on the camper so I think it would be okay to have the wireless connection as well. Thank you again for your help.
