RV Trailer Blocking Tail Lights, Any Ideas?

Question:

RV trailer has bike rack that blocks taillights. Looking to add taillights above existing. Would prefer adhesive mount and wires that come out the end of LED strip. I would have about 1/2 inch of exposed wiring between the existing light and the new light. Install the New LED light vertical to gain as much height as possible. What to you have that may work?

Hey Jason,

We do not have any tail lights that install adhesively for this type of application. What you could do is use out part # C53201, which are tail lights usually for a bike rack that blocks a vehicles tail lights. This is going to have an adhesive installation like you are wanting, with the lights being 7" long. You would plug into the included 4 flat harness and then depending on how you are planning to install these you could just cut and splice into the wiring.

It may not be exactly what you are picturing but I recommend going this route if you are wanting that adhesive application to mount however you want.

The RV trailer does not have a 4 way connector. It only has a typical square bumper with a bike rack attachment. Do you have a LED light strip with wires coming out of the end that will lay flat against the wall of the camper (no holes to drill)? I would start the LED strip light directly above the existing lights and run them vertical up the rear wall.

@JasonB The tail lights we have, wiring comes out of the back. We do not have any strips that are going to be adhesively installed and have wiring coming off of the end to lay flat. The closest thing we have was the # C53201 I mentioned earlier. That has the wiring coming off the end but you would have to figure out how to get it to splice into your set up.
