What are the Torque Specs for Installing Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs on 2010 Tundra?

Updated 05/13/2025 | Published 05/08/2025

Question:

I just bought kit F2445 for my Tundra. The instructions say “torque to spec in step 6”, but then it doesn’t tell you what the torque specs are. Do you have the torque specs for the 3/8” bolt, the 5/8” nylon jamb nut, the 3/8” nuts for the carriage bolts, etc? Thank you.

Hello Travis,

Here are the torque specs for the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2445:

- The 5/8inch Nylon jam used to connect the upper bracket to the air spring? 15-20 ft/lb.

- The 3/8inch hex bolt used to connect the lower bracket to the air spring? 15-20 ft/lb.

- The 3/8inch hex nuts used to tighten down the straight carriage bolts? 10-15 ft/lb.

- The 3/8inch hex nuts used to tighten down the square Bail Clamps? 28-32 ft/lb.

What kind of load are you hauling that you wanted to add the air bags?

Thank you! I’m just trying to level the truck from the weight of my tool boxes and a lumber rack. I also tow a dump trailer occasionally. It only took 20psi to get it back to stock ride height, and the ride quality is so much better!

@Travis Glad we had the right fit to improve your ride quality. Those dump trailers are no joke as far as weight!
