Is Red Grease Compatible with Green Grease Brand
Updated 09/26/2025 | Published 05/02/2025 >
Question:
I bought Green Greasethat is what it is called even though the grease is a pastel green to repack my boat trailer bearings. I have a camper that I recently repacked with Lucas Red N Tacky grease. If the next time I repack the camper bearings with Green Greasewhich is synthetic is it important that I completely remove the red grease or are the two compatible and I just semi clean the red out. Thanks, Experts.

Hey Jerry, while we don't carry the Green Grease brand you have it is a synthetic polymer type grease which is compatible with the red grease that is in your hub currently so there's no need to worry about totally removing the red grease.

Hey Jerry, did you find that using the Green Grease worked well with the red grease in your camper bearings? I'm curious to know how it turned out, as it could help others in a similar situation.
