Hello David, thanks for reaching out. Both the Roadmaster base plates you mentioned, the # RM86MR and # RM76MR will fit the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500LT. The difference is the # RM86MR is the direct connect base plate, while # RM76MR is the crossbar style base plate.

The crossbar style is more of an old-school design that requires additional components. The direct connect # RM86MR is definitely what you will want to go with, and yes that will work great with the # RM-676 tow bar. That is actually exactly what I would recommend. Here are the rest of the parts I recommend for your flat tow setup:

- Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-152

- Roadmaster Battery Disconnect for Towed Vehicle w/ Flat Tow Brake System - Gas Only # RM-766 (or part # RM93MR for Diesel engines)

- Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional # SM99251

- Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25

Please check your owners manual and confirm towability, and make sure you carefully follow all steps for recreational towing.

You may end up needing a drop hitch like part # BLU28XR to level out your tow bar. I do recommend grabbing a lock # e98881 (or two if you use a drop hitch), and a cover # e76FV for your tow bar.

Check out the videos I linked for you below.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

Hey David, did the Roadmaster direct connect base plate work well with your Silverado and the tow bar? I'm curious to know if the setup met your expectations, as it could help others considering a similar setup.
