Do You Carry a 6 Inch Wheel? Do You Have Something Smaller in Size that the Kenda 215/60-8 Tire?

Question:

Im looking for a shorter tire and wheel combination for a low speed implement project Im working on. Attached is a picture of a tag from a combination I bought a year ago. Is there -6 size 4 bolt on 4inch centers or a shorter version of the-8?

Hello Ray,

I do have an option for you that results in a smaller overall setup. Not because the wheel is smaller, but because the tire itself is.

The smallest wheel we carry is an 8". I did a search for a 6" option, and the only thing that came up in my search was a wheelbarrow. So unfortunately, that's not going to help us here.

From the picture you sent in, it looks like you currently have the Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range C # AM3H300 The outer diameter of that tire when inflated is 18.3", with a width of 8.9".

If you were to go with the Kenda 165/65-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range C # AM3H200, you'd be looking at an outer diameter of 16.5" and a width of 6.6". So, it would be more compact. (I do have this same tire on a galvanized wheel, but it is with an Offset: +0.75" # AM3H240.)

Keep in mind that even though both tires have the same load range, the actual weight capacity is a bit different. Your current combo, # AM3H300 , supports a maximum load of 940 lbs at 50 psi. The # AM3H200 supports a maximum load of 800 lbs at 70 psi.

Also worth noting, your current tire has a speed rating of 81 MPH, while the # AM3H200 is rated for 65 MPH. Not sure if you’re a speed racer or not, but you’ll need to ease off the gas a bit with the smaller tire!

What do you think, will it work for what you are trying to do?
