Long trips and heavy loads demand a tire that won’t flinch. The Kenda Loadstar 215/60-8 bias tire is built with an 8-ply construction and carries a 1,165-lb maximum load at 70 psi. It’s rated for highway speeds up to 81 mph (speed rating M) and meets Department of Transportation specs for peace of mind when the miles add up.
Moisture, salt, and road grime are no match for this steel wheel’s durable finish. The 8" diameter x 7" wide wheel has a corrosion-resistant white powder coat applied over an e-coat primer, keeping rust away and the look clean season after season.
When you’re running higher pressures, the valve stem has to keep up. This assembly includes a higher PSI rated valve stem that can handle up to 80 psi, giving you the confidence to maintain the proper inflation pressure without worry during demanding hauls.
The bias construction uses tough nylon cords set at a 30–45° angle in alternating layers. This crisscross pattern strengthens the sidewalls so the tire flexes evenly across its surface. The result is improved handling and a smoother ride when trailering over rough or uneven terrain.
This tire-and-wheel combo comes pre-mounted so there’s no extra setup before bolting it on. The wheel features a 4 on 4 bolt pattern with a 0 offset and 2.5" pilot diameter. Section width is 8.9" and outer diameter is 18.3" when inflated, giving you a well-matched setup that’s stable, balanced, and ready to roll.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody. this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Trailer Tire in a Load Range D. And it's mounted on this eight inch white solid center wheel with the four on four inch bolt pattern. Now, this is a Kenda Loadstar Trailer Tire. Offers excellent handling.
We mentioned it as a bias construction, which means it provides superior stability. And it's used for local use, like construction, agriculture, oe utility. It is a modern tread design, so it reduces rolling resistance for a nice, smooth ride. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, is two 15 by 60 by eight. Section width on this is gonna be 8.9 inches.
Overall diameter from the bottom to the top, when it's inflated, is 18.3 inches. And we mentioned, this tire's a load range D, which means it's an eight ply rated tire. So it has a maximum load capacity of 1,165 pounds at 70 psi. One other thing I do wanna mention, all the trailer tires now come through with a speed rating stamped on them. And where you'll find that, it's usually right after the size.
Down here, you can see is a number 86. That's the load index. And then there's the letter M. Speed rating is always designated by a letter speed rating. So speed rating M will mean this has an 81 mile per speed rating.
The wheel this is on is a steel wheel to resist rust and corrosion. Has a nice, white powder coat finish over an e-coat primer. And this tire rule certainly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. The dimer on the wheel, eight inches. The width on just the wheel is seven inches wide. The bolt pattern on this is a four on four inch bolt pattern. And if you want to measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs, like in this case, four. The lug holes are right across from each other. So you can see right here, if you go straight across. To measure the bolt pattern, if you wanted to measure that, you just pick any hole, let's say this one, and you'll measure directly across to the hole right across from it, center to center. So on this one, it'll measure four inches. So it's a four lug, four inch bolt pattern. Weight capacity on this is 1,165 pounds. It does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. And the last thing is the pilot hole, which is this large hole here in the center. Diameter of that opening is 2.5 inches. But that should do it for the review on this Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Trailer Tire in a Load Range D on the eight inch white solid center wheel with the four on four inch bolt pattern.

The dry weight of my trailer is 1825 pounds. These are the only tires on the market that will support the weight. They look good and they are good for off road.

I needed to increase the weight capacity on my flatbed trailer. I was running 5.70x8 trailer tires. Etrailer offered these tire wheel combinations. It was about 10 minutes change from beginning to end. The fit was perfect and the tires came pressurized to the proper pressure right out of the box. It was a total of 4 days start to finish from ordering to receiving. Quality of the packaging and product is perfect. So theres been just over a year. The trailer is used sporadically through the winter but heavily during the summer. The tires are holding up extremely well. Almost nowhere can be identified. Certainly no issue holding air or any spalling or other issues. If youre looking at these tires to upgrade or improve or replace on your trailer I give them a full five star review.
