How to Install the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs on a 2014 Toyota Prius
Updated 09/26/2025 | Published 04/16/2025 >
Question:
Having ordered the Firestone/coil -rite air springs for my 1014 Prius v, I am curious about the supportsinch that came with the order. The blue, disks are referred to in figures BA, BB and C. In each figure the vehicles mentioned are not mine. In figure AA and AB the fill stems are shown either up or down. I have two questions 1. Does my Prius V require the supportinch disks? 2. Should the filler stem located up away from the road or down?

Hey Michael welcome back! First thing I noticed is Firestone really needs to update their installation instructions for the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F4136. Luckily we've had quite a few customers install this on a Toyota Prius and they've been kind enough to send us in pictures. I have attached a couple of them below.
To answer your questions. The support disks will definitely be needed. The valve stems will be orientated downwards towards the road.
If you have any additional questions or concerns go ahead and put them into the comment box below and I'll be happy to answer them.
