Recommended replacement for a 5.70 - 8 tire with higher speed rating

I have a small camper that has 5.70 - 8 tire and 4 on 4 bolt pattern. I would like to replace them for an upcoming trip that is approx. 2k miles. I also would like to up the size of the tire to help with heat and hopefully get something a little thicker as well. The end goal is to feel safe and not worry about a blowout. I would like to be safe and keep up with traffic on the highway as well so I need to be able to go at least 75mph. The camper weighs approx 1100 lbs. This looks to be a good size alternative based on some research adding some width and upping the speed rating as well as the load rating. Can you confirm this would be a good fit and or give any other suggestions? If there are any concerns please note them as well. I want to get this right! Thanks

Hey CD, you’re on the right track being concerned with heat and highway speeds in mind.
With your current 5.70-8 tires, the main limitation won't be weight with your camper is only around 1,100 lbs, it’s heat and speed rating. Smaller trailer tires spin faster, which can build heat on long highway drives.
The safest and simplest upgrade is to stay with the same size but move to a higher load range like load range C or D. These have stronger construction and handle heat better, which helps reduce the risk of a blowout on a long trip.
If you want to go a step further, you can move up to a larger tire like a # Am3H420 Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire with 10" galvanized wheel, which will run cooler and typically have better speed capability. However, that only works if you have enough clearance under the fender. I suggest measuring the distance from tire to fender, first before upgrading to the larger tire.

Thanks for your help! If I were to upgrade the sizes, why kind of clearances will I need? The new one you suggested is a bit wider as well correct? Not sure which route I will go yet but glad to know there is a simple fix out there!
