Hello Jerry,

Congrats on the new 2025 Chevy Silverado! What is your new favorite feature?

The wiring that you are going to want to flat tow your new 1500 is the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267. The # C56406 wiring that you were looking at is for towing behind the truck.

Are you new to flat towing, or just getting a new vehicle set-up to flat tow? If you need any recommendations on what other parts you need, please feel free to comment below! I also attached a great article about the must have components for flat towing, it is a great read whether you are new to flat towing or a seasoned flat tower.

just getting a new vehicle (2025 Silverado 1500 LTZ with diesel engine) set up for flat towing - currently have a 7 wire to 7 wire connection from my motor home to existing flat tow car with the corresponding cable. So not sure why I need the 7 wire to a 6 wire connection? basically just looking for a 7 wire connector, sufficient wiring to go to the rear of the truck and the appropriate number of diodes. Guess I need to look at my 7 wire connector to see if there are actually 7 wires being utilized! Thanks for your input.

@JerrryM Hey Jerry, got it. In that case you will want the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-152, and then since you have a 7 way to 7 way, you will want to connect the wires to the Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV Blade-Style Trailer Socket - Vehicle End # PK12-707E.
