Does It Matter Which Side of Battery Is Disconnected to Flat Tow 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:
I have a 2024 chevy Silverado High Country and looking at installing the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect switch RM-766. GM recommends disconnecting the battery on the NEG side. Does this really matter, and will the RM-766 switch work OK on either side of the Battery?

Paul, yes it does matter which battery cable is disconnected to flat tow your Silverado. since your owner's manual calls for the negative side to be disconnected, you'd just need to hook up the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Flat Tow Brake System # RM-766 on the negative side and you'll be good to go.
