Troubleshooting Powered etrailer Trailer Jack e55ZV that Stopped Working

Question:
etrailer Electric Trailer Jack - A-Frame - 18 Lift - 5,000 lbs Part Number: e55ZV Stopped working. It has power going to it, even the light doesnt work. Is there a thermal overload or circuit breaker under the housing?

Hey Michael, the Electric Trailer Jack # e55ZV that you referenced has an internal 20 amp relay that auto resets and SHOULDN'T be the problem. You mentioned that the jack has power running to it but did you check the black ground wire? Most of the time when there's an issue with a powered jack like this the problem is related to the power or ground wire so if you haven't checked there yet I would recommend so.
