Powered Trailer Jack Recommendation to Replace Damaged FIC-3500

Question:

I have a FIC-3500 power tongue jack on my 2014 Forest River Rockwood Ultra lite.. When I am lowering or raising it without a load on it, the foot pad just spins and doesnt go up or down. If I put my foot on it and stop it from spinning, it will raise or lower.

Sounds like you have an issue with the nut and screw of the inner leg on your trailer jack. Typically this is a sign that it's time to replace the jack as it has an internal problem.

I recommend replacing it with the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack - Drop Leg - A-Frame # JET-5000.

It has a lifting capacity of 5,000 lbs which would be more than you'd need but will ensure that the jack will operate quickly and last a long time.
