Hello Alan,
I can get you set up with any connector you need. For your 2017 Chevy Colorado without the factory tow package, I have a couple of different options for you:
- To put a 7 way and 4 flat on the back: Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-Way Blade and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector - Chevrolet/GMC # HM11141144 (you never know when that 7-way can come in handy).
- 4 flat on the back: Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Connector # HM11141164, then you would need an adapter for the 5 flat: Curt Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way Flat to 5-Way Flat - Vehicle End # C57187.
I attached some install videos for you to check out as well.
What do you need the 5 flat for? The most common thing for the 5 flat is boat trailer with surge brake actuator, that is the case for my set-up to tow my Ranger.

Hey Alan, how did things go with the wiring setup on your Chevy Colorado? Did the Hopkins harness and Curt adapter give you the connection you needed? Your update could make it easier for the next person working on the same truck.
