It a nice hitch but took 3 guys, 3 hrs to install. Getting the new one bolted on to the frame was the easy part. Getting the existing bumper, ball & hitch frame support off, to have room to install this new CURT hitch, was the big time sucker! If you don’t have to deal with that you’ll still need three guys as someone needs to be on the ground on each side, plus someone to run the jack (to support the bumper) and be a gopher for you. 21mm socket isn’t common and you’ll need some long extensions with a breaker bar.
Well made, good fit. Looks good too—it’s mostly concealed behind the bumper. Be sure to put spare tire plate in position early on, while hitch is still loose enough to allow wiggle room. The instructions make reference to this.
Everything matched up perfectly! The video for the truck to Hopkins trailer wiring was flawless. Would definitely recommend to everyone to use etrailer!
I am a repeat customer with etrailer. They've always had what I was looking for at excellent price points. And excellent customer service. No complaints here.
Great products and fast shipping, excellent service!
I received this hitch much earlier than expected.....great shipping....My son and I took on this project today.....I'm 67 and my son is 28....you will need some young muscle....lol....we are just DIY people......we watched the vids and we had no problem....our problem was we were just using hand tools.....breaker bars and ratchets.....this is labor intensive with hand tools, but not bad...just be ready to take a break......our only problem was the spare tire bar......DO lower the spare and loosen all the bolts .......we did have to manipulate the bumper to get all the bolts to line up but wasn't much of a problem.....they say DIY should take about 1 hour or more....we did it in and hour and a half....and we took a break in between to hydrate....I'm in deep S. Texas....all in all....pretty easy peasy with the right tools and at least two guys.
Installed my new hitch this morning, wasn't too hard to do. Impact wrench to remove the 4 bolts facing the floor, and a breaker bar and ratchet handle to remove the side bumper bolts. Got a couple extra hands to hold the bumper in place so I could remove the bolts and removed the bumper hitch. This hitch doesn't utilize the side bumper bolts so I reinstalled them and got the new hitch inlace and started the 4 bolts. I must say, it is a heavy duty well built hitch, much heavier that the one I removed. Snugged up all 8 bolts and torqued them to 126 Lb Ft.
Awesome. Great price fast shipping such an easy install. Whole process including wiring took me 1.5 hrs. And I’m not at all a mechanic. The video was a tremendous help by watching before I started. Highly recommend this product. And etrailer

Trailer hitch went on with out to much trouble always great product and service
Thanks
Perfect fit! Easy install
Hitch is well made, but has a problem. You have to remove factory support that goes between frame and mounting bolts. This leaves the hitch approx. 1/8 inch to wide on each side. I corrected this by shimming with large diameter washers. Hitch should be approx 1/4 inch narrow. If you install it with out spacers, you will have to really tighten it in order to bend the mounting brackets flat against the frame.

The factory support is actually reinstalled after the hitch is installed. The hitch mounts to the frame and there shouldnt be any need for the washers. I am attaching a link to an installation video.
Thanks to your “how-to” videos, install was easy and fast. Hitch still look like new and is pulling our trailers well!!
looks very well made...I have not installed it yet but it's a good match to factory equipment
hitch came in a trashed box but it is not dammaged Followed instructiong to the "T" and all ok
So easy to install
The hitch was easy to install and fits perfectly. No problems with the instructions as they are easy to understand. High Quality and well built. Used for trailers and a bike rack.

Still going strong! have used several times with no issues at all.
The hitch fit pretty well on my 2018 Colorado WT. I struggled a bit getting the bolt holes to line up well, but after some adjustment, was able to torque everything down. However, I was able to do the install while the truck was on the ground and using jackstands, and it has served me well.
Awesome Hitch, it was easy to install on my Colorado and has been put to the test. I regularly tow either a Bayliner 175, two dirt bikes and a quad on a utility trailer, or a hitch mounted dirt bike carrier and have had no issues. I have used the receiver as an anchor point to self recover my vehicle and it held up just fine doing that too.
Fits like a hitch. Good girth.
This trailer hitch was easy to install - great directions and video also available on YouTube.

We use our hitch almost every weekend and it works awesome!!! Love it
Hitch looks good and is functional. Hardest part was breaking the factory mounted bolts loose. I had to get a breaker bar. Also the Factory Crossmember has "vertical wings" where it mounts to the side of frame and the hitch does not. I had to get some large washers to re-install the bumper in order to adjust for the lack of "wings". I got this in order to mount a bicycle rack. It saves me from putting several bikes in the bed when we go to a different location
The install was what I expected, about two hours, but I took my time. I hung the bumper with a pair of cargo straps so I didn't have to manhandle it at all. I did cut some pieces off the old cross member to act as shims to fill in between the bumper mount and the frame since the hitch attached outside it all. Been very happy with it.
